What They’re Talking About us

Geographical area of operation

SJKS’s intervenes directly in Jalaun, Jhansi, Hameerpur, Banda, Chitrakoot and Lalitpur of Bundelkhand (U.P.).

SJKS is worked by means of partners and other organisations in Fhatehpur, Kanpur, Kanpur Dehat, Mahoba, Etawah, Auraiya, Unnav and Kaushambi. SJKS works in the most backward, feudal and dacoit infested ravines of the area. About 79% of population in these areas is living under poverty line. People are living without adequate education facilities, safe drinking water, food security and health facilities due to lack of community participation and failure of government schemes. Most of community is facing hunger and drought due to expensive agriculture and improper irrigation facilities. Gender equity and equality is furthermore hindering their progress.
